Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's lightweight and freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines to a nearly flat position, and there is a large storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability? Yes with an additional carrycot.
Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, but you must wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old to do this.
Ickle Bubba XL Air
This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant option for parents looking for a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. The travel system includes an adjustable carrycot that can be folded flat for newborns and a multi-position forward and rear facing seat for a pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. 3 wheel pushchair to understand why it's received such high marks from its customers. It's incredibly light - the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to put together. I was able get it up and running in under five minutes - which is amazing considering that it includes the fabric for the carrycot to be attached.
It has a lovely wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very easy to use. There's a good amount of room inside the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it has a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so that you can keep your keys and phone secure!
The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which can be a problem for taller parents. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material, and is easy to wipe down.
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is designed for parents who love to explore and are always on the go. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on field and forest paths. The front wheel can be locked and swivels for added versatility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and a front bar to keep your little one secure on all journeys, while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving when you rest. The seat can be repositioned to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad or mum's heights.
Whether you're going for short jogs or a long hike, the Runner will be there to accompany you on your journeys with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded up to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.
The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally, the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is a little higher than the ones of competitors which means it might not work for smaller parents, but overall this is a sturdy and versatile stroller that's worthy of consideration for families with active kids.
Red Kite Push Me Pace
The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that prides itself on making easy-to-use and simple essentials for parents. It's their newest and most expensive addition to the bargain lightweight stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat-compatible, so it can be used from birth.
The new Pace has some amazing design features, including a rose gold tint to the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which make it stand out from its rivals. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are elegant and there is the option of adding a co-ordinating leather cover handle and bumper bar as well.
The stroller seat can be used from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg. It can easily be converted into a reversible 2-in-1 position, either facing the parent or facing the world. The stroller seat has multiple lie-back positions, softly padded legs rests and an extendable sun canopy that has zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.
When folded, the Pace measures 56 33cm x 43cm x 32cm which allows it to be used as hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. Two buttons on either side are easy utilize and press to lock it in the right position.
Bugaboo Fox 5
Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis comes with shorter wheel length which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. I put it to the test with my two kids - one a toddler and another eight week old - over the rocky roads, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.
The puncture-proof wheels are big - 22cm and 30cm - which means they can handle lots of different terrains. They also have a handy flap that opens or closes to let more air to enter should you need it this is a nice feature. It's slightly larger than other pushchairs, but doesn't feel heavy or bulky when you push it over bumpy surfaces.
The fabric of the seat can be washed by machine and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also a lot quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt confident using it on busy city streets. It comes with accessory points, so you can attach footmuffs and parasols along with changing bags as well as snack trays and even snack trays. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it's not waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included), which gives your child more legroom. It took around 20 minutes to assemble the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.

The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will impress parents. It has a Multi-Mode Wheelbase and a pioneering LED Visibility Hub Light that's a first for the industry.
